Reputed astrologer and prophet Nostradamus has made an alarming premonition about a cataclysmic drone war in 2026.
The prophet, who lived in the 16th century, predicted a number of chilling events, including a “seven-month war” and a “great swarm of bees” – with some now suggesting that the ‘bees’ are actually ‘drones’ used in warfare.
Nostradamus’ predictions were written in quatrains, which claimed to foretell future global events. Some of the predictions featured in his 1555 work The Prophecies included 942 cryptic, four-line poetic quatrains.
One passage in one of his predictions reads: “The great swarm of bees will arise by the night ambush”. Some believe this will soon be our fate, with the passage linking to the number 26.
It is not clear what the bees could be, as it does not seem likely that a huge swarm of the winged insects could cause such an ambush. However, some have instead suggested is that it refers to drones being used to strike a target at night. There is even a type of male honey bee known as the “drone bee”.
In any case, it can only be assumed that the so-called bees are merely metaphorical, as the 16th century astrologer was unlikely to be able to predict such a drone war given the substantial technological advances over the years.
Others believe this image of a bee swarm signifies a resurgence of an influential political leader securing major victories.
Nostradamus’ prediction of a great war helps to support the theory of a devastating drone war.
The specific quatrain reads: “Seven months great war, people dead through evil/ Rouen, Evreux the King will not fail.”
Considering much of modern warfare involves drones, these two predictions go hand in hand.
It’s not too hard to see how this verse could relate to the Russia-Ukraine war or the conflict in the Middle East and escalations from Iran. Some claim Nostradamus previously predicted warfare, with his line “Within two cities, there will be scourges the like of which was never seen”.
This is said to have predicted the atomic bombs the US dropped on Japan’s Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War Two.
A third prediction is that Switzerland will be “drenched in blood”. This premonition is especially alarming – and can be tied to an exact location.
Nostradamus’ verse reads: “Because of the favor that the city will show… the Ticino will overflow with blood…”
