A REALITY star has confessed to sleeping with more than 700 men but insists she’s not ashamed about her former addiction.
Belinda “Love” Rygier – star of The Bachelor Australia – also revealed there was a time she’d go out up to six nights a week seeking intimacy.
Speaking on the You’re a Grub Mate! radio show, Belinda, 38, said: “I didn’t know I had the problem until I healed it. The issue was with my relationships and I kept attracting toxic men.”
The TV star turned relationship guru is eight years into her recovery and has been celibate for 15 months.
Belinda continued: “When I recovered I thought there was some unhealed trauma from my past that was causing my addiction.
“It ruled my life, but I was a functioning addict, I have a great career, you wouldn’t know on the surface.” Confessing that she’s “lost count” of the number of men she slept with, Belinda insisted that it was “above 700”.
But Belinda – who found fame on the 2017 series of The Bachelor Australia – says she’s “not ashamed” by her high number of sexual partners.
The height of Belinda’s addiction was before the popularity of dating apps, meaning she would go out up to six nights a week to meet men.
She added: “Men were very good at telling me what I want to hear, it was about feeling beautiful and validated and loved rather than having the physical intimacy.”
Although Belinda admitted that she “still has a high libido” she’s determined to wait until she has a connection with someone.
“Society has declined and we’re using intimacy for the wrong reason – which is a quick validation or moment,” she said.
“I will be engaging again but with someone I have a connection with.”
