AI has created what ‘Karens’ look like in every U.S. state, and people have a lot to say about the results.
The term ‘Karen’ became a viral internet meme around 2018.
It describes a stereotypical middle-aged white woman with an asymmetrical bob, who asks to speak to the manager, and happens to be very entitled.
There’s even a viral Reddit thread dedicated to talking about experiences with ‘Karens, with over 39K weekly visitors.
And one member of this thread had a great suggestion and said: “We need a documentary that really captures Karen’s in the wild throughout the nation.”
Something like Shark Week but more in depth and with Sir David Attenborough providing the narration. It would be great seeing them in their natural element.”
As the meme continues to circulate online, it seems there is a distinct type of ‘Karen’ in each state.
It seems that based on location, ‘Karens’ have particular behaviors and mannerisms.
And people have a lot to say about their experiences with ‘Karens,’ and if these assumptions are right or not.
Here’s a closer look at what the AI produced – and why the reactions it’s generating are causing such a debate.
Texas ‘Karen’
One viewer said: “Can confirm Texas Karen. See that hairstyle at least once a day.”
Another said: “Texas Karen is the scariest Karen.”
Also, some viewers have claimed that being a ‘Texas Karen’ may run in the family.
“I can confirm for Texas my mother is one and my sister is showing signs,” they said.

Utah ‘Karen’
“I can’t speak for the other states, but Utah has enough ‘Karens’ to shut the state down,” said one viewer.
Another said: “I’m going to be bold and say that since the Karen haircut is originally the Utah haircut, can we all agree that Utah is the homeland of ‘Karens’?”
However, the state with the most ‘Karens’ has actually been researched.
And, even though this viewer thinks Utah is the homeland of the ‘Karen’, this research found it isn’t…
However, maybe it will be up there one day, with one viewer adding: “Thankfully there is no ‘I wanna speak to your manager’ but I fear the future.”
Minnesota ‘Karen’
Minnesota Karen seems to be the gossip on the block, with one view saying: “She’ll be nice to your face while spreading false rumors about you to your neighbors.”
This must be a shared experience, with another person replying: “Way too real, man.”
She’s also made an enemy with the soccer moms, with someone adding: “Minnesota Karen looks kinda nice, but she might judge my after soccer snacks.”

California ‘Karen’
Referred to as ‘Cali Karen’, there is some disagreement about if a lot of ‘Karens’ here.
One person on social media said, “if you go to any TJ’s during the week, you’ll encounter one in the parking lot most likely.”
Another added: “It’s the valley of Karens.”
But others defended the state’s lack of ‘Karens.’
One replied: “No. Middle-aged women here have better things to do.”
Another said: “People here might think a certain way, but are too polite to cause an entitled scene.”
Florida ‘Karen’
It seems a ‘Florida Karen’ isn’t one to mess with, with one person claiming: “Florida Karen is prepared to yeet a gator at the manager.”
I would not like to get on the wrong side of a ‘Florida Karen.’

Connecticut ‘Karen’
Firstly, ‘Connecticut Karens’ have even been given the nickname ‘Connecti-Karen’ by one viewer – so they must exist.
It also seems the ‘Connecti-Karen’ is admired by other Karens, with one viewer saying: “The native NY Karens view her as an alpha and strive to be noticed by them.”
Another said: “As someone in Connecticut everyone is EXTREMELY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE and dresses in jeans a t shirt and an over shirt so give you a false sense of security and then goes for the kill.”

New York ‘Karen’
‘New York Karen’ does not look like someone I would want to mess with.
And one viewer confirmed this, saying: “They don’t want, or need the manager, they know the CEO and can end you in an instant.”
This is a top-level ‘Karen’ skill.
Others, however, believe that New York is a ‘Karen-free’ zone, with one person saying: “Never seen any New York Karen.”
We just assumed they exist everywhere.
